I’m Happy But For How Long? I’ve bought several of these (not really any more) Black & Decker hand vacs. They’re very convenient, and I’m always happy at first; but the battery soon becomes weak and I throw them away. I’m hoping the lithium battery in this one will hold up longer. All I have had before came with a wall mount charging station — not this one. I always installed the charging stations in a cabinet. So, I decided to hang this one in the same location. I used a bicycle hook and it seems to be working OK. See pictures.SIDEBAR:Lithium Ion batteries do not like being deeply discharged. Your batteries will last longer if you recharge them before they get too low. Letting them discharge completely can cause the battery to fail. These batteries have no memory like older nickel based batteries did.

A decent handheld cordless vacuum Purchased the vacuum primarily to clean up stray cat litter from the floor. It works relatively well on loop carpet, but not so much on hard floors when the brush attachment is utilized. Even at the powerboost setting it has a difficult time picking up larger pellets. Have yet to use the vacuum in the auto, but plan to revise my review if the performance is less than adequate. Given the chance would purchase another model with a better track record, and could be mounted on a wall.

An adequate vacuum I bought this to replace an other black and decker battery powered vacuum that lasted 16 years. This one is great, I love the buttons and the power settings. I don’t love that if you turn it upside down while off the rubbish pours right out. I wouldn’t buy this again just for that.
