I was happy with it when I first bought it and then … I’ve had this for a long time. I was happy with it when I first bought it and then I’ve been progressively more unhappy with it. It never had the strongest suction but you only get so much with a cordless and it seemed fine for simple tasks like kitchen drawers and a quick job on the interior of the car.

Was good for a few months, now it’s garbage– battery is defective and B&D warranty support is awful INITIAL REVIEW: I have no complaints about performance, but was surprised to see that the charger is connected with just a standard barrel plug connector on the handle of the unit. It’s not a big deal for me, and is ok considering the price, but I think it was a bit misleading of Black & Decker to show photos of the thing on the wall hanger (which usually also has the charging contacts), but no photo with the charging cord actually plugged in (especially when they KNOW that some people will find it unattractive or inconvenient). If you want the convenience or clean look of a hang-to-charge dustbuster, don’t buy this one.

BATTERY DIED AFTER MINIMAL USE IN 3 MONTHS!!!! AVOID I did my research. I read a bunch of reviews and this seemed to be the one to get. Initially, it seemed fine. Powerful. After a couple of months of very little use the vacuum would not hold a charge! No matter what outlet I used, how long I kept it plugged in. It failed. Of course, it was right after Amazon would take it back so I had to decide whether I would fight the fight and try to return to Black & Decker or just purchase a new one. I chose to go the stress free way and buy a new one rather than try to box up something, ship it (at my cost) and then wait for weeks until a decision is made by the Black & Decker gods… I even considered buying the same model again. The reviews seemed so positive. But then I came to my senses and purchased a different brand. This is my experience after doing lots of research and buying what I thought would be a terrific product.
